Jerseyville got in the holiday spirit with a tree lighting at its annual Downtown Country Christmas.

Alton High School welcomed the Hall of Fame class of 2021 with an induction ceremony before the school's varsity game vs. Hazelwood East.

Already under operation, the members of The Storehouse Foot Pantry, along with local officials, wanted to commemorate their continuance of service to the river bend community.

Once the tree lighting festivities concluded, the RiverBender.com Community Center hosted its yearly open house. Children enjoyed games, raffle prizes, and free toys courtesy of a massive donation from Hit N Run and RiverBender.com, along with another chance to visit Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The sounds of carolers filled the air as Mr. and Mrs. Santa greeted the residents of Alton the for the 2021 Christmas Tree Lighting at Lincoln Douglas Square.
