Virginia Rose Robeen, 89, passed from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2018.
She was born November 9, 1929 to the late Norbert and Mary (Becker) Godar.
She married Vincent Robeen on November 9, 1950 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin, IL.
She attended Central Beauty college and worked as a beautician for many years. After retiring she cared for her aged parents and babysat for many young children. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Altar Society and life long member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Margaret (Rodney) Nolte of Alton, two sons, Gary (Carol) Robeen of Hardin and Kenneth Robeen of Pittsfield, IL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Fuhler and Delores Fuhler, and four brothers, Norbert Godar, Francis Godar, Larry Godar, and Roger Godar.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband on September 10, 2017 after 67 years of marriage, and a brother, Kenny Godar.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 P.M. Monday December 17, 2018 at Gress, Kallal and Schaaf in Hardin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin, IL with Fr. Don Roberts celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Norbert’s Cemetery in Hardin, IL.
Memorials are requested to go to St. Norbert’s Catholic School or Family choice.
