Vera Joan Campbell, 81, of Rosewood Heights, died at 1:50 pm Saturday July 21, 2012 at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.
She was born on February 12, 1931 in Alton, IL to Claude and Sadie (Sinclair) Maguire.
Vera married Robert L. Campbell on July 29, 1949 in Hartford IL. He survives.
Vera was a Homemaker and also worked for H&R Block for over 10 years. She was an active member of the Hartford Maple Street Chapel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by their sons, John and Sharon Campbell of Houston, TX, Steve and Donnell Campbell of Bethalto, IL, and Phil and Cindy Campbell of Moro, IL; their daughters, Mary and Murray Harbke of Wood River, IL, and Lisa and Chris Myers of East Alton, IL; their grandchildren, Susan and Derek Jarman, Greg and Julie Yost, Alex and Kelley Campbell, Kevin and Kayla Yost, Anna, Chris, Kate, Kyle, Andrew and Tyler Campbell, Ben Quade and Keegen Myers. She is also survived by one brother, Don Maguire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Maguire; and a sister Marie Poleet.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Tuesday July 24, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home, 2521 Edwards St., Alton, IL.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or to Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon.
