Toni R. Owens, 70, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 6, 1953 in Alton, she was a daughter of Donald and Verna L. (Marmino) Fenton.
She married Richard H. Owens Jan. 7, 1975 in Wood River. He passed away July 12, 2002.
Toni worked at Walmart after her children were grown. She enjoyed watching her grandkids, sewing, embroidering, and tending her garden. She loved all animals and had a particular love for butterflies.
She is survived by her children, Nicole Crawford of Wood River, Michael (Cecille) Owens of San Diego, CA, and Patrick (Amber) Owens of Bethalto; grandchildren, Jared, Jaxson, Parker, Leo, Asher, and Lydia; four sisters, Teri Fenton of Granite City, Donelda (Steve) Bray of Carlinville, Michele (Paul) Jones of Nixa, MO, and Mari Fenton Evans of Hartford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
