Scott May

Scott A. May, 49, of Freeburg, IL, born Wednesday, June 30, 1976, in Highland, IL, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O Fallon, IL.

A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Scott served his country with honor, courage, and dedication. The values he learned during his military service guided him throughout his life and were reflected in his strength of character, loyalty, and commitment to those he loved.

Following his military service, Scott spent more than 20 years as an over-the-road truck driver. He took great pride in his work, traveling countless miles across the country and embracing the independence and responsibility that came with life on the road.

Scott found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing. Whether spending a quiet day by the water or sharing stories with friends and family, he cherished the peace and satisfaction that fishing brought him. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved the freedom of the open road. Riding reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the journey as much as the destination.

Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.
