Samantha "Sami" Dawn Owsley, 16, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013.Born in Alton on November 11, 1997, she was the daughter of Chad and Deena (Bosco) Owsley of Rosewood Heights.A junior at Roxana Community High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Peer Leadership Group, soccer team and tennis team, which she and her sister, Sydney, qualified for state in doubles this past season.Sami was dearly loved by her family.  She was a sweet, beautiful, thoughtful and loving girl, a friend to everyone.  She loved her family and friends so much.  Sami and her sister ahd an amazing relationship that Sydney will carry with her forever.  We were blessed to have had her i our lives, even if it were for such a short time; she will remain in our hearts for a lifetime."Heaven just got brighter, when OUR precious Sami got there; bur OUR hearts are broken beyond repair.  God, you gained an angel it's true, but Lord, what on earth are we to do?"In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Doris Bosco of East Alton; paternal grandparents, Gayland and Staneta Owsley; sister, Sydney Owsley of Rosewood Heigths.Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1327 Vaughn Rd, Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday.  Pastor Martin Schultz will officiate.Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Roxana High School Girls Tennis Program.Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements
