Ruth Boswell

Ruth H. Boswell, 91 years young, passed away at 9:21 pm Tuesday June 19, 2012 at her home after living a long and loving life.  She was a blessed mom, mom-in-law, and Nan.

The daughter of Zeno and Kate (Guilliams) Moyers, she was born December 11, 1920 in Cunningham, KY. 

Ruth was married to Dallas W. Boswell who passed away March 29, 1999.  They were united in marriage in 1940 in South Fulton, TN 

She worked at Olin Corporation in the Shot Shell Department where she made many friends.  She loved her job until her retirement in 1989.  She loved to be at home and kept an immaculate house.  She loved to cook and made the best pies ever.  She loved to work in the yard, especially with her flowers.  She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosewood Heights.  Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

Ruth is survived by three sons, a daughter and their spouses, Herbert D. and Barbara Boswell of Bethalto, George A. Boswell of Minnesota, Judy and Kenny Allison of Rosewood Heights and Steve W. Boswell of AZ; her dear grandchildren, Debbie Allison and PJ Petracek of St. Louis, MO, Steve and Farrah Allison of Bethalto, Tim Boswell of Arizona, Scott Boswell of Bethalto, Kim, Chris and Tammy Boswell of Connecticut and Dallas Boswell of Chicago; great grandchildren, Ryan and Ethan Allison of Bethalto, Christopher and Shannon Boswell of Alabama and Shelby Boswell of Florida; a great, great grandson, Ethan Boswell of AL; a younger sister, Pansy and her husband Uriel Gilbreath of Hawaii along with many nieces and nephews and dear friends, Marilyn and Joe Miceli of Roswell, GA and Debbie Hesterberg of Bethalto;

She is preceded in death by her parents, her dearly loved husband of 59 years, seven sisters and five brothers. 
 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Robinson officiating.

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. 

Memorials may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
