Ruth A. “Ruthie” Bailey, 72, passed away at 11:20 pm on Monday, August 21, 2017 at her home in Hardin.
She was born on June 28, 1945 in Hardin IL, the son of the late Philip Ewen and Beatrice (Vetter) Ewen. Ruthie married Arthur Bailey August 14, 1965 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin.
Ruthie loved collecting, quilting, and crocheting. She was the “Parts Lady” for over 30 years at Hurley Dodge.
Ruthie was survived by her husband, Arthur Bailey; two sons, Robert (Claudia) Bailey, and Randy (Aimee) Bailey; five grandchildren, Anna- Marie, Hunter, Ayden, Addyson, and Adiya Bailey; two brothers, Larry (Shirley) Ewen, and Lloyd Ewen; one sister, Rosie (Jim) Keeton; and one sister-in-law, Carman (Bill) Thurman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Ewen and Wayne Ewen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. August 25, 2017 at Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin.
