Ronald Hopper, 71, of Springfield, IL, died in Springfield, IL on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 8:05 am. He was born July 19, 1952, in Jacksonville, IL to Freeman Headen Hopper & Bernice Robertine Ranson. He married Yvonne Sorbie Hopper on July 14, 1990 in Springfield, IL. He was retired after having been a mechanic. Ronald enjoyed long distance running and fishing. He is survived by his spouse, Yvonne Hopper of Springfield, IL, children, Christy (Shawn) Shafer of Camby, IN, Nicholas Hopper of Boulder, CO, grandchildren, Elandra, Addison, Ava all of Indiana, sister, Cindy Lou (Rex) Gauges of Winchester, IL, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Hopper. No public services are scheduled. Memorials are suggested to donor's choice.
