Robert “Bob” Dean Calvin, 94, of Shipman, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
He was born on November 13, 1929, in Liberty, MO, to the late Dennis T. and Margaret M. (Eliker) Calvin.
On May 7, 1955, Bob married Greta F. Johnson in Alton, IL. They celebrated 67 wonderful years of marriage prior to her passing on January 25, 2023.
Bob retired from Laclede Steel and also farmed. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his daughters Debbie (Ronald) Cameron and Darlene (Dennis) Badgley, both of shipman; grandchildren Amanda (DJ) Kroeschel, Amy (Jake) Dunsing, Alex (Rachel) Calvin, Chris (Francie) Cameron, Valerie (Mike) Kohlrus, Terry Crawford, Barb (Ron) Rawlings; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; daughter in law Sharon Hess.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Greta; parents, Dennis and Margaret; son Dennis Calvin; brother Donald Calvin; sister Loraine Lopez; great granddaughter Gentry Dierking.
Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:15 pm on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Shipman Cemetery.
