Randy Wallace, 54, passed away at 6:55am on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at his residence with his loving family by his side while under the care of BJC Hospice. He was born on February 5, 1958, in Wood River, Illinois the son of the late George L. and Barbara M. (Gibbs) Wallace. He married the former Sharon K. Titus on April 20, 1991, in Brussels, Illinois and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Jennifer and Matt Davies of Bethalto, Jayme Wallace and her significant other: James Lowe of Wood River, six grandchildren: Bradley Lowe, Bryce Lowe, Jordan Wallace, Brayden Davies, Jaidyn Wallace, Juliette Davies, a special cousin: Wendell Bennett of Fairfield, Ohio, one uncle and his wife: Herbert and Darlene Bennett of Baldwin, Illinois, an aunt: Mary Wallace of Alton, and several other extended family and friends.
He was formerly employed in the tube mill at Laclede Steel as a galvanizer prior to his retirement. He then was employed by OHL - Yazaki warehouse in Edwardsville as a lead man. He loved to play recreational softball and volleyball in the Alton, Roxana, and Wood River Park Districts. He loved music, movies, watching television, and was an avid hot wheel collector. He was a huge WWE wrestling fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Moran will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.
