Phillip Joseph Dalton, 40, of Alton passed away unexpectedly on April 13th while living and working in Champaign, IL. Phillip was born in Belleville on March 7, 1984. He leaves behind his son, Austin Dalton of St. Louis, his parents, Patricia and John 'Steve' Corbitt of Alton, a sister, Theresa Riggins of St. Louis, step siblings Jennifer Mouser, John Corbitt Jr. of Wood River, and James Corbitt of Alton, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Phillip had struggled with addiction issues for some time, but was on a hopeful path to turn his life around with a new start and the solid support of his childhood friend, Brian Soden.
Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice to combat addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues.
A celebration of life gathering is to be held Sunday, June 2 at Food A Fare in East Alton from noon until 2:00 PM. All friends are welcome.
