Paul Scott Glassbrenner, 62, of Plainview, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 10:55 am.
He was born February 6, 1963, in Litchfield, IL to Fred E. Glassbrenner & Norma J. (Narup) Glassbrenner.
He was a retired Carpenter from Local 664 (formerly Local 377). Paul was a member and nearly permanent fixture of the Tri County Rod & Gun Club in Brighton, IL. He enjoyed sharing his culinary skills there as well as assisting with preparation of Burgoo soup for the Brighton community. With a personality much like his father, Paul knew no stranger and was loved by many.
He is survived by siblings, Karen (Steve) Bender of Williamsville, IL, Patti Updike of St. Charles, MO and Ann (John) Hilderbrand of Alton, IL, nieces and nephews whom he cherished, as well as several cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph Glassbrenner.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Tri County Rod and Gun Club, Brighton, IL from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Any friends wishing to speak are invited to do so. There will be a private burial at St. Denis Cemetery, Shipman, IL at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Betsey Ann Association, Brighton, IL or St. Denis Cemetery for upkeep. Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
