Patricia Kirk

Patricia L. Kirk, nee Guinzy, age 85, of Edwardsville, IL, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her residence from a brief battle with myeloid leukemia.

Pat was born on September 26, 1938, in Collinsville, IL to the late Joseph & Nola (Porter) Guinzy. She married Robert D. Kirk on Christmas Day in 1974. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2013. Besides her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by in law’s, Bruce & Sharon Kirk, and Ralph Leach; and a son in law, Louis Pfefferkorn.

Pat is survived by two daughters, Sally Crook-Pfefferkorn, of Glen Carbon, IL, Pam Crook-Wallace, of Edwardsville, IL; three step daughters, Monica (John) Perry, of Glen Carbon, IL, Kim Kirk, of Edwardsville, IL, and Kris Seubert, of Wood River, IL; a sister, JoAnn Leach, of Collinsville, IL; a sister in law, Rita Makler, of Glen Carbon, IL; seven grandchildren. Jason Perry, Justin Perry, JJ Wilkinson, Chad Wilkinson, Brandon Kirk, Kayla Seubert, and Abby (Wallace) Crawford; three step-grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Stumphf, Dina (Greg) Williams, and Angie Pfefferkorn; 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends.

Pat was a graduate of Collinsville High School. She was employed by Dr. R. Daniel Elliot, D.D.S., D.W. Brown Realtors, and Florist Mutual Insurance Company. Pat was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville where she served the church in many capacities and committees. She was also involved in Prison Ministries, ETC Home, and several bible study groups. She also enjoyed attending services and bible studies at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville. She was also in numerous other service organizations in the Edwardsville community.

Pat will be remembered by her friends and family as a kind, caring, and compassionate person. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She led many people to salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Above all Pat loved her Lord and her family. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Pat donated her body to the Washington University School of Medicine.

In lieu of a visitation, a Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 12:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of 723 St. Louis Road, Collinsville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Online condolences may be expressed at weberfuneralhome.com.
