He was born in Concordia, KS, on September 9, 1951, the son of Merle T. Kivett and Bonnie (Street) Bregenzer. Mike married Violet K. Keele in 1970. Mike was a graduate of Civic Memorial Highs School class of 1969. He worked at Wonder Bread Edwardsville Agency starting in 1970 for 8 years. He then became the distributor for Little Debbie Snack Cakes for the next 38 years. His territory included Madison, Macoupin, Jersey, and Greene counties. Mike enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a retired member of the Dream Weaver Motorcycle Club. He participated in paint-ball events with friends, as he loved the competition.
