MaryJane Baalman

MaryJane C. Baalman, 83, passed away at 8:44 pm Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Jersey Community Hospital.

MaryJane was born on April 18, 1933 in Meppen, IL, the daughter of the late John and Mary Ann (Brinkman) Kronable.She married Severine J. Baalman on July 24, 1954 in Meppen, IL. He survivesMaryJane was a homemaker. She had cooked at the Apple Shed, Royces and Barefoot Restaurants. She was also the owner/operator of the Hardin Drive-in. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin and a member of St. Norbert’s Alter Society.Survivors include her husband of Hardin; two sons and their spouses Randy and Fay Baalman of Michael and Greg andKim Baalman of Hardin; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother Alfred Kronable of Meppen; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by a son James “Opie” Baalman; and 1 granddaughter Stephanie Baalman.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm am on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, with a prayer service beginning at 5pm at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin with Fr. Don Roberts officiating.Interment will follow at St. Norbert’s Cemetery in Hardin.  Memorials may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels is charge of the arrangements.
