Mary R. Ogle, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Alton Memorial Rehabilitation and Therapy.
Born Jan. 1, 1944 in Roxana, she was a daughter of Earl and Evelyn (Clark) Allen.
She married Brian Foster Ogle June 25, 1961 in Roxana. He preceded her in death May 9, 2017.
Mary enjoyed reading and camping. She was a NASCAR fan. Most of all, she loved being with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Shelly (Bob) Hess of Bethalto and Mark (Kim) Ogle of Edwardsville; grandchildren Nic Smith, Tim (Jesse) Smith, Lauren (Jim) Horman, and Kyndall (Jas) Sullivan; great grandchildren Mabry and Delaney Smith, Beau Sullivan, and Hadley Horman; a sister, Linda Andrus of Wood River; a brother, Don (Robin) Allen of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Matthew Hess and Tom Hess; a sister, Barbara Pratt; and a brother, Jerry Allen.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 22 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., at which time the funeral procession will leave for Woodland Hill Cemetery.
