Marilyn A. Fohne (Restoff), 66, of Smithton, IL, born Tuesday, September 29, 1959, in Highland, IL, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Marilyn retired from Permobil after many years of dedicated service. She lived her life with an open heart and an infectious enthusiasm that touched everyone she met. To know her was to feel welcomed —because Marilyn never met a stranger. Whether in the grocery store, at a café, or simply walking down the street, she found a way to turn every encounter into a conversation and every conversation into a genuine connection.
She was a lifelong animal lover. She cared deeply for all creatures and believed kindness was something best given freely and often.
Marilyn embraced life with gratitude and wonder. She delighted in simple joys, celebrated small victories, and had an uncanny ability to lift the spirits of those around her.
