Marie “Mary” H. (Rose) Kinder, 90, passed away at 3:55 am Monday May 2, 2016, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab, Hardin, IL.
Marie was born on August 7, 1925 in Golden Eagle, IL, the daughter of the late Bernard and Catherine (Telkamp) Rose.
She married Forrest H. Kinder on January 5, 1945 in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2002.
Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of Daughter of Isabella, St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wood River.
She is survived by one brother, Jerome Rose of Golden Eagle, IL; two sisters-in-law, Lenore Rose of Hardin, IL and Virginia Rose of Golden Eagle, IL; one brother-in-law, Tom Dooley of Alton; one nephew, Ronnie Kinder of Holiday Shores and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband; she is preceded in death by two sisters, Adelaide Stoeckel and Doris Dooley and three brothers, Lawrence, Paul and Leo Rose.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at 10 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels, IL, with Fr. Don Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brussels.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and or the American Cancer Society.
