Margaret M. Zipprich, 93, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on November 13, 1922, in Meppen, IL to the late Herman and Josephine (Brinkman) Bussen.
Margaret married August F. Zipprich on February 23, 1946, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meppen. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2006.
She was homemaker and secretary for the Hardin Grade School. Margaret was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting doilies, and knitting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons and their spouses; Ralph (Judy) Zipprich of Hardin, Raymond (Phylis) Zipprich of Maricopa, AZ, Richard (Marsha) Zipprich of Fieldon, IL, Roger (Jenny) Zipprich of Jerseyville; twelve grandchildren and their spouses; Scott (Kristin) Zipprich, Matthew (Jodie) Zipprich, Regina (Tim) Schroeder, Jennifer (Kyle) Niessen, Kerrie (Joe) Dvorak, Joshua (Melissa) Zipprich, Mary Beth (John) Haug, Mitchell (Jenna) Zipprich, Joshua (Caroline) Brannan, Matthew (Brandi) Brannan, Bradley (Kit) Zipprich, Kara (Ashley) Hayes; twenty-two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Vincent Bussen and two sisters Esther Droege and Rosanna Ruth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on August 2, 2016, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Michael, IL. Burial will follow at the St. Michael Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Norbert’s School, The Calhoun Ambulance or Jersey Community Hospital.
