Lynette Lawrence

Rosewood Heights |

44-year-old Lynette Renee Lawrence, my very dear wife, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 from what seemed to be medical complications that she has endured and fought for a very long time.

Her passion for life was surpassed only by the love that she had for her family.  She was born on April 18, 1970 in Alton, IL.  She married Calvin E. Lawrence on August 2, 1984.  She was the love of his life and will be missed greatly.  Her sons, David and Zachary were her pride and joy.  David passed away April 11, 2010, but left her a beautiful and very dear granddaughter, Bri Ann Lawrence of St. Simons Island, GA.  Her son, Zachary lives at home with Calvin and she was very proud of the man that he is becoming.

Lynette had a love for God and Jesus that eventually led her to Landmark Worship Center in Bethalto.  Her friends are countless. Pastor Mark Burk and his wife Rhonda Burk are two of the finest people that Lynette and Calvin had the opportunity to meet and know and have in their lives.  I know they along with the entire congregation will miss her deeply.

I count the days my dear and look forward to the day when I can be with you and our son, David.  Together we all shall wait for Zachary.  God bless you baby.  I love you very much.

Lynette is survived by her mother and stepfather, Carol Ann and Danny Brandon of Lithia Springs, GA; her father, Terry Stahl of Bunker Hill; a sister, Tanya Mobley of North Carolina; her in-laws, Delbert and Gerri Lawrence of Bethalto; a sister-in-law, Melissa and her husband, Willie Stortz of Summerfield, IL; her brothers-in-law, Matt and his wife, Faith Lawrence of Bethalto and Herman and his wife, Daphne Lawrence of Carlyle, IL; her special nieces, Bug of North Carolina, Katie of Bethalto and Teighlor of Summerfield, IL along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Lawrence, a brother, Jason Stahl, brother-in-law, John Lawrence and her grandparents, Faye and Luther Simmons and David and Betty Wallace.

A memorial service will be at a later date at Landmark Worship Center in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
