Linda Lambert

KANE-  Linda L. Lambert, 65, died at 6:17 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.She was born Ontarioville, DuPage County, Illinois on April 10, 1950, the youngest of five children born to Kenneth Eugene & Viola Virginia (Scoggins) Baze.She was a 1968 graduate from Jersey Community High School, and she married George Lambert on March 27, 1971 in Jerseyville.They spent their early married life living in various locations while George served in the military, and eventually returned home where they raised their two sons. She managed the Frontier Lodge in Jerseyville, along with her husband, for 13 years before retiring.   She was also a loyal member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Jerseyville.Surviving are her husband, George Lambert of Kane; two sons & a daughter in law, Aaron Lambert of Jerseyville, and Brady & Michelle Lambert of Jerseyville; five granddaughters, Courtney, Danielle, Elizabeth & Felecia Lambert and Ava Lambert; one brother, Jerry Baze of Demopolis, Al.; two sisters & brothers in law, Carol & Bill Stahl of Jerseyville, and Darlene & Joe Purcell of Jerseyville; a brother in law, Francis "Sonny" Surratt of Carrollton; along with some very special nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Jean "Jeannie" Surratt on May 15, 1998.Cremation has take place in accordance with her wishes.Memorial visitation will take place from 10 a.m., Thursday until time of services at 1 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Inurnment will immediately follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Carrollton.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to her family in care of the funeral home.
