Linda Buckley

Linda Rosa Buckley, 77, passed away at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

She later married Dennis Buckley on September 10, 1988 in Saint Louis, Missouri, and for the past 37 years, they have made their home in Benld. Together they enjoyed spending time camping and making trips to the casino, and most importantly, simply spending time together.

Linda was employed as an operator at Olin Corporation for over 33 years prior to her retirement. She was a hard worker who took pride in her job, but her greatest pride and joy was always her family. She loved keeping up with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured the time she was able to spend with them.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Buckley of Benld; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Christine Dunse of Alton; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Kevin Abel of Horn Lake, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Stephani Jones, and her fiance, Chris, of Mississippi, Joshua Dunse of Godfrey, Lauren (Ethan) Conlee of Godfrey, Danielle (Hollis) Rasmussen of Idaho, Kristen (Jon) Ebling of Jerseyville, Jacob (Stephanie) Dunse of Grafton, Mallory (Garrett) Beyer of Wisconsin, Ashley Abel of Nevada and Blake Dunse and his fiancée, Nicole, of Wood River; twelve great-grandchildren, Baylee, Kira, Kayden, Paige, Trinity, Logan, Bentley, Lilee, Connor, Weston, Noah and Willow; as well as a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jim DeSherlia of Godfrey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert Eugene, Richard, William and Carl Gunterman; a sister, Rosa Robeen; as well as two siblings in infancy.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. A Memorial Service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday at the funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
