Lee Bell

Lee Roy Bell, 60, passed away at 4:39 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born Aug. 4, 1952 in Alton and was the son of Roy & Mary (Barton) Bell.Lee attended Jerseyville schools and later went on to work at Laclede Steel in Alton where he worked as a galvanizer in the utility division retiring in 1999.Surviving are his mother, Mary Davis of Godfrey; his two children, Lee Bell and Lea Bell both of Brussels; twelve brothers & sisters, James Bell, and his companion, Cathy Turpin of Jerseyville, Karen & Dale Klunk of Dow, David Bell, and his companion, Susan of Godfrey, Kenny Bell of Godfrey, Bobby Bell, and his companion, Dawn of Jerseyville, Barbara Bell of Hillsboro, Mo., Molly and Jerry Newby of Brighton, Lisa Davis and her companion, Jeff Hodge of Jerseyville, James Davis of Delhi, Jeff Davis of Oklahoma, Mike Bell of Mt. Vernon, and Vickie & John Minx of Old Mines, Mo.He was preceded in death by his father in Roy Bell; and a brother, Terry Davis.Visitation will be from 11 a.m., Friday until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Burial will be in the Kane Cemetery.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
