Lawrence O. Gosch of Bunker Hill passed away at 2:00 p.m., June 3, 2012. He was born August 30, 1925, the son of the late Otto and Lena Gosch. He was the youngest of five siblings. He married Virginia Jarman on June 8, 1947. He was an officer in the U. S. Navy, serving during WWII. After his discharge he was a career newspaperman retiring from the Staunton Star Times. He was a member of the Bunker Hill Masons. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, three children, David (Vicki), Juanita and Paul, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services will be held. Memorials can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
