Lacey Mackelden

Lacey Mackelden, 33, died at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was born June 5, 1992 in Alton, IL the daughter of Philip Mackelden and Susan Schaffner Stanley.  

She worked as a care giver with home health care for many years. Lacey loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her Dad and boys and loved to shop. Her primary focus was always the wellbeing and happiness of her boys.  Her kindness, compassion and generosity was always evident with everything she did.  She will be greatly missed by family and friends.   

Besides her parents she is survived by two sons, Benny Green and Jayden Gettings, one brother, Thomas White and one sister, Angela White. She had several nephews and nieces who  share lots of fun memories with her. 

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sonia Douglas. 

Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025. 

Burial will be at Grimes Cemetery. Reverend Sonny Renken will officiate.
