Kenneth O. Fisher, 57, of Alton and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 10:37 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born October 3, 1966, in Granite City, a son of Ruby (Wiser) Thomas and the late Kenneth Fisher. He was employed at Specialized Services in Alton with many years of dedicated service in retail packing. He was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Alton and enjoyed his many years of participating with Special Olympics. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed his days of bowling and listening to music. Kenneth will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by his stepmother, Geralyn Fisher of Hawk Point, Missouri; his sister, Debbie Vinson of Granite City; two nephews, Matthew Vinson of Granite City and Andrew Vinson of Granite City; aunt, Donna Fisher of Maryville; other extended family and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor and Minnie Wiser and Austin and Carrie Fisher. In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tom Hufty officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
