Kathryn Jane Chronister, 81, passed away on February 2, 2020, at her home. She was born on November 15, 1938, in Jerseyville to Arthur & Clara (Gerson) Nelson. Katy married James 'Tuck' Chronister on July 12, 1959, at the Salem Methodist Church in Dow. Katy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was better known as Granny to her family and her family was her life. She loved to cook and entertain, loved to interior decorating, loved to laugh, and loved to eat chocolate. She is survived by her husband: James 'Tuck' Chronister; her children: Mark Allen Chronister of Grafton, and Ross (Bethann) Allen Chronister of Grafton; her grandchildren: Jacinda (Chronister) Milles and Hanabeth Chronister; her great-grandchildren: Caden Milles and Carter Milles; her siblings: Hazel Stubblefield of Edwardsville and Charles Nelson of Moab, Utah. Katy is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Harry Nelson, Robert Nelson, and a half-brother: Emmett Nelson. Private graveside services were held at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
