Judith 'Judy' Ann Newman, 74, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born January 6, 1947 in Alton, she was the daughter of Willard and Vivian (Seiler) Mueller.
On June 13, 1964 she married Michael 'Mickey' Newman Sr. in Alton. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Lisa Caldieraro of Grafton, Melissa Berghoff (Keith) of Alton, Darla Newman (Ashley Wuellner) of Godfrey, one son, Michael Newman Jr. (Anita) of St. Charles, MO, 11 grandchildren, Ryan Newman (Nicole), Shelby McGowan (Kyle), Micah Newman, Sarah Burford (Corbin), Elizabeth Lewis (Mike Goleaner), Brandon Berghoff (Jennifer), ReeAnna Cline (Brian), Mariah Cottingham, Amber Hay, and Alison Anson, great grandchildren, Jude Newman, Anna Mae Newman, Ellianna McGowan, Emma Feldmann, Jonah Feldmann, Ranea Burford, Owen Lewis, Reese Lewis and Luke Coleaner. She is also survived by a sister, Vicki Friedline (Larry) of Grandview, MO.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derek Newman, and a son-in-law, Ritchie S. Caldieraro. Services will be private at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
