Juanita Hammond, 91, formerly of Rosewood Heights, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO, with her family at her side. She was born September 17, 1926 in Hamilton County, IL to William R. and Violet (Hargrove) Wheeler. She married Clifford Blaine Hammond November 13, 1945; he preceded her in death November 8, 2004. Juanita was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Gary) Robnett of St. Charles, MO; son, Stephen Hammond of Rosewood Heights; ten grandchildren, Timothy Robnett (fiancé, Cyndie Guffey), Allison (Rusty) Durbin, Micah (Sarah) Hammond, Melody (Casey) Olson, Matthew (Nicole) Hammond, Marissa (Paul) St. Marie, McKenzie (Jordan) Lettau, Markus (Rebecca) Hammond, Mitchell (April) Hammond and Meyers Hammond; fifteen great grandchildren and a sister, Shirley (Jerry) Reeser of East Peoria.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, David Robnett.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Paynic Home for Funerals with the Rev. André Dobson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com
