Joyce M. Wrigley, 79, passed away and went to be with Jesus at 11:40am on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Robings Manor in Brighton.
She was born on July 22, 1944, in Alton, the daughter of the late Harry C. and Mamie G. (Costello) Ralston. Survivors include a daughter: Marcia Deckard of Bethalto, a son and daughter in law: Mark and Jan Wrigley of Alton, three grandsons: Andrew Deckard, Brandon Deckard, Curtis Deckard, a sister: Sue Kennedy of Bethalto, a cousin: Delores Turnbaugh of Roxana, and many other extended family and friends.
Joyce was employed at Owens – Illinois Glass Works, then worked at Gusdorff Furniture of St. Louis, and then worked as an adjuster at Olin Winchester. She was a member of Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Alton. She enjoyed reading and watching Jeopardy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Eugene Ralston.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10:30am until time of funeral services at 12:30pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Rev. Mark Scandrett will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
Memorials are suggested to Emmanuel Free Methodist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
