Joan M. Greding, 83, passed away at 9:18 am on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 20, 1940 in Alton, IL to Joseph and Maxine (Steele) Harper. She married Robert Greding on July 14, 1979. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2000.
Joan was a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Joan is survived by her children, Robert (Kelly) Cunningham of South Roxana, Debbie (Cody) James of Rosewood Heights, Karen Jockisch of Alton, and Sherry (Brad) Jargon of Roxana; grandchildren, Madison Jockisch of Alton, TJ Lowe of Sikeston, Missouri, Sandy of Sikeston, Missouri, Sami Friedrich of of East Alton, Michael Crane of Brighton, CJ Jones of Roxana, Matthew Goewey of Roxana, Andy Goewey of Benld, and Bradley Cunningham of South Roxana; and her brothers, Joseph (Pat) Harper of Wood River, and Randy Harper of Florida.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lowe.
Per Joan's wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will take place at 10 am on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Upper Alton Cemetery.
