Our dear sister, aunt, and friend gracefully took her flight.
Jo Floyd, 66, of O’Fallon, IL, born on July 24, 1959, in East St. Louis, IL, lost her long battle with diabetes on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She endured many highs and lows, but somehow always seemed to come through the storms. This time, she soared high and took her eternal flight.
Jo was an avid sports fan as well as a woman’s softball league champion, barrel horseback rider, and many other outdoor sports. She loved her family, including her little pup, Sparky, without fail. Her nieces and nephews benefited from the love and affection she gave.
Jo enjoyed a good family and friends get-together and will be sorely missed at them. Jo always had a great joke to share and could leave a room in laughter better than most.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Marjorie Floyd (nee Blass); and siblings, Michael Bishop, Sue Bishop, and Kathy Powell.
Left to cherish Jo’s memory are her siblings, JC (Trish) Bishop, Debra (Don) Fort, Rose (Greg) Clark, Jackie (Cass) Johnson, Eddie (Kay) Floyd, Bev (Jean) Haffner, John (Mary) Floyd, Rebecca Wolf; her godchildren, Jim Fort, Tonya Stanton, Jeremy Fort, Jena Haffner; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Loved by all, she will be truly missed.
