Hazel Lippert

Hazel M. Lippert, 87, passed away at 4:48 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Staunton.

  Born Nov. 21, 1923 in Alton, she was a daughter of John and Cleta (Ristler) Kelley.

  She married Francis E. Lippert Oct. 9, 1942.  He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1985.

  She was a member of Friendship General Baptist Church in East Alton.

  Survivors include two daughters, Cleta (Monty) Jinks of Hermitage, Tenn. and Bea (Terry) Combs of Staunton; a son, Dale (Sandy) Lippert of Castle Rock, Colo.; her grandchildren, Michelle Lutz, Matthew Mayes, Tiffany Dexter, Keli Schmid, Wendi Pierce, April Gilson, Brad Huntsman and Frannie Combs; great grandchildren, Tyler Gilson, Julian Mayes, Olivia Williams, Jessica and Rachel Lutz, Abbie and Toby Combs, Tessa Huntsman and Logan Odel; and a sister, Gertrude Lubbert of Edwardsville.

  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Kenny, Marion, and Jimmy Lippert; three brothers and a sister.

  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where Pastor James Overbey will officiate services at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

  Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

  Memorials may be made to the Hazel Lippert family.
