Harriet Carolyn Ellen Tharp, 78, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 in the emgency room at Salem Hospital in Salem, Mo.
She was born in Nebo, Il. on Dec. 31, 1931, one of seven children born to the late Culver & Minnie (Shonfield) Killebrew.
A resident of Kane for many years, Harriet attended and was a member of the Kane Baptist Church.
She married Everett L. Tharp in 1947 in Pittsfield, and he passed away on April 14, 1995.
Surviving are three daughters and sons in law, Betty Tharp of Fenton, Mo., Joyce & Kenny Depper of Alton, and Norma & Van Watkins of Vichy, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Stalions of Paducah, Ky., and Ruth Shaw of Jamul, Ca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Gertrude Neese; and three brothers, Harold, Raymond & Virgil Killebrew.
Visitation will be from 12 noon on Wednesday until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Kane Baptist Church.
