Gregory Pritchett

Gregory Kevin Pritchett, 61, of Bethalto, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

He was born on June 28, 1965, in Alton, IL, the son of James Edward and Carol Mary (Tardino) Pritchett. Greg married Laura Sagrillo on June 18, 2011, in Godfrey. She survives.

Greg worked as the head custodian at Nelson Elementary School in Edwardsville. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto and the Moose Lodge in Wood River. He loved music, playing drums, St. Louis Cardinal's baseball, football, and St. Louis Blues Hockey. He absolutely loved Roma's pizza, and Doritos, which everyone knew not to touch! Greg never met a stranger and loved making friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, Laura, he is survived by his children, Brandon Pritchett of Quincy, IL, Brandon Gibson of Bethalto, Samantha (Joey) Dumey Gibson of Salem, OR, and Tristan Gibson (Anna Kate) of Bethalto; siblings, David (Linda) Pritchett, Thomas (Kimberly) Pritchett, and Barbara (Thomas) Stutz; grandchildren, Audrey and Cavlin; special friends, Timmy Tardino and Tom Walters; nieces and nephews, Michael (Katie) Pritchett, Matthew (Samantha) Pritchett, Meghan (Jamar) Pritchett; and many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4 to 7 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Mass will be on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10 am, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.

Memorials are suggested to his wife, Laura, to help with final expenses.
