Florence Easton

Florence Marie Easton, 92, of Gillespie, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:46 am.

She was born January 25, 1934, in Dorchester, IL to William L. Heyen & Marie E. Kelly Heyen. She married Andrew Easton on May 15, 1954 in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2012.  

She was a registered nurse for the Staunton Hospital. Florence was a family caregiver. She was a member of the Faith Christian Fellowship of Litchfield. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting, and woodworking.  

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Easton of Gillespie, IL, daughter in law, Donna M. Easton of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Andrew D. (spouse, Stephanie) Easton of Omaha, NE, Alyce M. (partner, Shaina Barnholt) Easton of Denver, CO, Alex W. (partner, Michael Wooten) Easton of Granite City, IL, great-grandchildren, Amour Easton, Andrew Easton, twin grandchildren, Alistair Easton, Auden Easton, siblings, Kelly W. (Ruby) Heyen, David L. Heyen, brother in law, Bill Parmentier, sister in law, Roberta Heyen, several nieces and nephews.  

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sons, Andrew Wilson Easton, John David Easton, siblings, Wayne I. Heyen, William C. Heyen, Faye Heyen, Shirley Hausman, and Phyllis Parmentier. 

Friends may call on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Gillespie Methodist Church from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral services are Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:30 am at Gillespie Methodist Church. Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
