Dena Wood

Dena Wood, 64, passed away at 1:40pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at her residence.  She was born on November 15, 1961, in Alton, the daughter of Hubert “Bud” and Beverly (Tidobaum) Wood. 

Survivors include a daughter: Amber Henry of Godfrey, a son: Steven Henry, Jr. of Brighton, three grandchildren: Jerion Holoman, Anfrintino Sykes, Jr., Ambreia Sykes, a half sister: Candace McCormick of East Alton, and many other extended family and friends.

Dena was formerly employed in the deli department at Shop N Save in Alton. Dena loved gardening, flowers, country music, and most importantly, she loved her children and grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Rick Wood.

In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
