Debra Pluester

Hardin |

Debra Ellen Pluester, of Hardin, passed away on January 23, 2019. 

She was born on March 7, 1953 to Leslie and Edith (Erwin) Bean of Kane and they preceded her in death.  She graduated from Jersey Community High in 1971. She worked for many years as a cook and caterer.  She also gave piano lessons to many in the community.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joe Pluester of Hardin, two sons, Tony (Traci) Gress of Hardin, Jeff (Amanda) Gress of Batchtown, a stepson, Clint (Chelsie) Pluester of Hardin, a very special niece, Morgan Bean, a brother, Doug (Cindy) Bean, a sister, Kathy (Paul) Herkert, several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.  Debbie was also a beloved Granny to her six grandchildren, Stella and Lola Gress, Mary, Walter, Warner and Winston Pluester.

Debbie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, she always had an open door and open heart.  She will be fondly remembered for her love of rock music, the piano and her great food, especially her delicious cinnamon rolls.

Visitation will be Monday, January 28th at 8:30am with a service immediately following visitation at 10am at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin. Burial will be at St. Joseph's cemetery in Meppen. There will be a dinner for family and friends immediately following at the KC Hall in Hardin.

Memorials can be made to the St. Joseph's Cemetery Fund or the Calhoun School Band program.
