Cristi “TeTee” Walsh, 46, passed away unexpectedly at 9:38pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her residence. She was born on July 29, 1977, in Granite City, the daughter of Janet and retired Wood River, IL police Sergeant William Wheeler of Godfrey and the late Robert Lee Walsh. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother and sister in law: Jason and Sara Wheeler of Godfrey and her two favorite little people, nieces, Mia Pearl 8, and Ava June 3, her grandma: Bonnie Wheeler of Rosewood Heights. A half brother: Brian Walsh, a half sister and her husband: Erin and David Rudd, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other extended family and friends.
Cristi was employed as a Lead of Customer Care at Magellan Health. She was a coach and mentor to other agents and will be greatly missed. She continued her education after graduating from East Alton Wood River High School with multiple degrees from Lewis and Clark Community College, MacMurray College, SIUE, and Capella University. She loved reading, tumbler cups, schedules, coordinating the chaos, and spending time with her nieces who were her world.
In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: William W. Wheeler, Walter and Elsie Mae Schmidt, and Ann Walsh.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
