Charles Payne

Charles E. Payne, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 9, 2026.

Charles was born on June 22, 1932, to Vivian and William Payne in Wayne City, IL. He was a Korean Army Veteran. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Payne, and his Wife Christine (Allen) Payne on March 22, 2020.

He is survived by a brother, Cecil (Barbara) Payne; children, Diane (Duane) Custer, Michael Payne, Edward (Suzie) Payne, and Lori (Jeffrey) Fillback; grandchildren, Dustin Payne, Megan Hartin, Chelsea Custer, and Candice Barrett; and nine great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
