Byron Beiermann

Byron Andrew Beiermann, 64, of Jerseyville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Born on March 4, 1960 in Jerseyville, Byron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Byron married his devoted wife, Helen Dean (Scoggins) Beiermann, on September 7, 1985 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville. Together, they built a loving family, including their son Byron Keith (Kristin) Beiermann, their daughter Kelly Marie Beiermann (fiancé Nick Tingey), and granddaughter Maeva Claire Beiermann (2). He is also survived by his sister Mary (Joe) Mendel, sister-in-law Barbara (Steve) Rives, brother-in-law William (Tami) Scoggins, brother-in-law Harold (Kyong) Scoggins, sister-in-law Tina (Richard) Isringhausen, god-daughter Katie (Kallal) Forrester and many nieces and nephews.

Byron is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Marilyn (McDow) Beiermann.

Byron had a deep passion for country and bluegrass music, playing upright bass in the bands Hickory Grove Bluegrass and Rockabilly Revival. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and growing all kinds of produce in his garden. He worked diligently as both a painter and a butcher, dedicating his life to his craft and community. Byron was also an enthusiastic historian, with a special love for the rich history of Jersey County.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Crawford Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, officiated by Father Paul Kallal.

Byron's family and friends will forever cherish his memory, his music, and his stories of Jersey County. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Byron's memory to Riverbend Humane Society (23402 Crystal Lake Rd, Jerseyville, IL 62052) at riverbendanimalshelter.org and/or Got Faith Ministry (508 W Pine St, Jerseyville, IL 62052) at gotfaithonline.org. Donations will also be accepted at the funeral home.
