Bernida “Miss Bea” M. Bannister, age 86, passed away at 8:20 a .m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Staunton Hospital in Staunton, IL
She was born on November 14, 1925 in Batchtown, Il. the daughter of Henry and Alice (Hanneken) Klockenkemper.
She married Charles Bannister on November 22, 1963, he preceded her in death in 1991.
She is survived by one daughter and her spouse; Vicki and David Gosch of Bunker Hill, Il. 8 grandchildren; Jason, angie, Brian, Scott, Elizabeth, Tammy, Danielle and Nannette, 15 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children; Cindy Klockenkemper, Thomas Rhodes, and Danny Kunigilis, one great grandchild; Caleb Mayfield, a sister; Bernice Allen and one brother; Harold Klockenkemper.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with the Rev. John Blackmore officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, Il. .
