Adam Jeffrey Bohnenkamp, 26, passed away unexpectedly 5:16 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Alton on March 30, 1988, he was the son of Tracey (Curtis) Bohnenkamp of Wood River and the late Daniel Bohnenkamp.
A 2006 graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School, he had worked as a laborer.
Adam is survived by his mother; a dearly loved son, Jackson Bohnenkamp; sister, Carey Bohnenkamp of Wood River; maternal grandparents, William and Barbara Curtis of Granite City; paternal grandmother, Peggy Bohnenkamp of Columbia, MO; several aunts and uncles including, a very special aunt, Julie Huber; aunt Heather Hill; great uncle and his wife, John and Phyllis Marshall; great aunt Glenda "Hawk" Elam; cousins, Johnny Marshall and Lisa Tinsley; and many dear and close friends.
Preceding in death were his father; grandparents, Barbara and Harvey Hill; and great aunt, Marilyn Tinsley.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Private, family burial will be in Wanda Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Jackson Bohnenkamp Educational Fund, which has been established at Shell Community Federal Credit Union in Wood River.
