Harris, a 6-foot guard, said his approach entering the season is centered on doing his part as Granite City looks ahead to the new campaign. Granite City finished 16-15 in 2025-26, and Coach Moore said he expects a strong effort from both Harris and the team in 2026-27.

“My goals and aspirations are pretty simple and straightforward,” Harris said. “I just want to do what I can to help the team win and just keep doing what I do in practice and in every game through the season.”

Coach Moore said during Granite City’s summer basketball action that Harris has continued to improve and that he has big expectations for Harris in his sophomore season. He also said Harris and the rest of the team had excellent summers so far.

Harris said the seniors on Granite City’s squad last season, along with Moore, helped him grow as a player, and that he is appreciative of all the guidance along the way.
