GRANITE CITY - Junior Landon Harris qualified for the IHSA Class 3A Cross Country Sectional after finishing 10th at the Belleville West Regional on Oct. 15, 2025, with a time of 15:17.60. The event took place in Belleville.
Harris is a Stillwater Senior Living Male Athlete of the Month for the Warriors.

Harris’s cross country season concluded at the Normal Community Sectional, where he finished 64th with a time of 16:07.0. Earlier in the season, Harris secured a victory at the Triad Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 1, 2025, clocking in at 16:06.5 and helping lead the Warrior boys to a sixth-place team finish among 16 schools. Teammate Joel Farone also earned recognition with a 22nd-place finish at 18:20.40.
Throughout the season, Harris posted several notable performances. On Sept. 6, 2025, he recorded a personal record of 14:41.9 to finish third at the Granite Invite. He followed that with a fifth-place finish at the First To Finish Invite on Sept. 13, running 14:46.4, and placed fourth at the CM Twilight Invite with a time of 14:44.7.
Harris also competed closely against Civic Memorial's state champion Max Weber in multiple races, including the one at CM. Harris praised Weber as one of the area’s best runners and noted their strong friendship outside of competition, appreciating how Weber pushed him during their races.
