COLLINSVILLE - Kahoks quarterback Jaylen Schultze threw a touchdown pass to Lazarious Steward and Steward scored on another touchdown on the ground as Collinsville took a 28-6 win over Granite City in a Southwestern Conference football game on Friday night, Sept. 11, 2026, at Kahok Stadium.

It was the first SWC football game in a decade for nearly both schools in a nearly a decade. The Kahoks took a 16-0 lead at halftime but Granite City showed remarkable improvement throughout.

The Collinsville defense pushed the Kahoks to a 2-0 lead with a safety. Steward next ran in a for a 9-0 lead and also scored from 12 yards to give Collinsville a 16-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Schultze ran in from a yard and next LeShawn Wright hit Cain Wilson with another touchdown pass to give the Kahoks a 28-0 lead. Warriors' quarterback Jesus Atilano connected with Kaysen Emerson from 52 yards out to make the final score 28-6. The Kahoks improve to 2-2 overall and the Warriors are now 0-4 on the season.
