BOYS BASKETBALL
COLUMBIA 43, TRIAD 41: Columbia squeaked past Triad in a close game at the Columbia gym.
Eddie Smajic had a big game for the Eagles with 26 points, while Kyle Chubb added on eight points.
Columbia is now 3-2, while the Knights are now 3-3.
ROXANA 63, FREEBURG 46: Roxana kept its hot start going by going up at the half 30-19, then moving on to the win at Freeburg.
Aiden Stemm led the Shells with 25 points, while Sean Maberry had 19 points, and Cohen Dugan added 13 points.
Roxana is now 7-1, while the Midgets slip to 1-5.
CIVIC MEMORIAL 62, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 54: CM outscored Southwestern 35-11 in the middle two quarters to win at home.
John Kunz led the Piasa Birds with nine points, while Cason Robinson and Reed Campbell both had eight points each.
The Eagles are now 3-3, while Southwestern goes to 1-6.
BELLEVILLE EAST 50, COLLINSVILLE 43: East jumped to a 23-11 halftime lead, then held off a Collinsville comeback to win the Southwestern Conference game at home.
Troy Alexander was the top scorer for the Lancers with 18 points, while Bryce Bennett came up with nine points. Jordan Taylor led the Kahoks with 21 points, while Camauri Mayes added nine points.
East is now 5-1, while Collinsville slips to 3-3.
EAST ST. LOUIS 65, O'FALLON 59: East St. Louis and O'Fallon played on level terms in the first half, with the score being 31-31, but the Flyers outscored the Panthers in the second half 34-28 to take the win at the OTHS Panther Dome.
Alex Johnson led East Side with 25 points, while Terryon Webster had 13 points, and Tyrik Barnes added 10 points. O'Fallon was led by Ben Akoro, with 26 points, while Jayden Dancy had 11 points.
The Flyers are now 3-1, while the Panthers go to 1-6.
In other games played on Tuesday, Okawville got past Campbell Hill Trico 47-45, DeSmet Jesuit won over Alton 68-53, Centralia defeated Jersey 62-14, Marquette Catholic won at Maryville Christian 50-27, Edwardsville came from behind to win over Belleville West 46-41, Bunker Hill defeated Valmeyer 58-46. it was New Athens getting past Waterloo Gibault Catholic 60-54, East Alton-Wood River won at O'Fallon First Baptist Academy 43-25, Breese Mater Dei Catholic won at Highland 50-40, Mehlville, Mo, of south St. Louis County nipped Waterloo 57-55, Trenton Wesclin stopped Madison 79-59, and in a result from Monday, Carrollton defeated Greenfield Northwestern 66-31.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
WATERLOO 54, BELLEVILLE ALTHOFF CATHOLIC 40: Althoff led an 18-16 halftime lead, but Waterloo came back to outscore the Crusaders in the second half 36-20 to take the home win.
Reece Distler led Althoff with 19 points, while Gabby Dalke added 17 points.
The Bulldogs are now 4-3, while the Crusaders go to 2-6.
BELLEVILLE EAST 64, COLLINSVILLE 5: Belleville East shutout Collinsville in the first quarter 19-0, led at halftime 42-1, and coasted to the win at Vergil Fletcher Gym.
Anna Deterding and Morgan Harris-Goliday both scored two points for the Kahoks, while Addison Muniz added a single point.
The Lancers remained undefeated at 6-0, while Collinsville is now 1-6.
ROXANA 66, VANDALIA 31: Roxana jumped to a 41-20 lead at the half, and went on to defeat Vandalia at Larry Milazzo Memorial Gym.
Tatum Shaw led the Shells with 16 points, while Daisy Daugherty added 15 points.
Roxana is now 3-4, while the Vandals go to 2-5.
O'FALLON 62, EAST ST. LOUIS 17: O'Fallon led at halftime 46-9, and went on to a Southwestern Conference win at East Side's gym.
Javonni Winters led the Flyers with nine points, while Lymajah Smith added four points.
The Panthers are now 4-3, with East St. Louis going to 2-6.
In the rest of the Tuesday fixtures, Freeburg got past Triad 47-40, Carlyle won at Greenville 50-24, and Metro-East Lutheran won its first game of the season, defeating Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran 36-14.
