In the Gateway Metro Conference matchup against Maryville, Father McGivney took control early, leading 12-5 after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 39-10 by halftime.
Carly McElroy and Layla Tobin contributed nine points each for the Griffins.
The win improved Father McGivney’s record to 6-1, while Maryville Christian fell to 4-4.
The Griffins posted another strong performance against Calhoun on Saturday, building a 32-18 lead by halftime on their way to a 57-29 victory.
Zoe Oller and Sofia Rossetto each scored 10 points, with Elle Willenborg adding eight points for Father McGivney.
These results reflect Father McGivney’s continued success this season as they maintain a strong position in the Gateway Metro Conference standings.
Jeff Oller, the McGivney athletic director and girls basketball coach, was very pleased with the pair of wins. He commented on the Calhoun game and said: "The girls shot the ball really well. They turned up the defense in the second half along with it. I am really proud of their effort and felt it was a good step forward against Calhoun. Calhoun is always going to be a really disciplined team that works hard, so it was a good performance against them."
