New Athens took control early, building a 23-5 lead after the first quarter. The momentum continued as the team extended its advantage to 35-8 by halftime.
In the third quarter, New Athens pushed the lead to 45-19. The final quarter saw New Athens outscore Metro East Lutheran 11-2, holding the Lady Knights to just two points.
Metro East Lutheran was led by Alexa Stock, who scored nine points. New Athens’ offense was paced by Brooke Deterding, who contributed 26 points.
